According to the UN, about 13 million tons of plastic waste ends up in the ocean every year – that’s 80% of all the garbage in the world’s oceans. Bags, bottles, disposable dishes and other garbage enter the stomachs of marine mammals and birds – tens of thousands of animals die from this every year. Photographer Paulo de Oliveira and his colleagues in his work clearly showed, how serious the problem of environmental pollution, and how important recycling.
